Ballet
Students study the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, which is recognised worldwide. We offer Preprimary level, through to Solo Seal, and students can sit examinations annually. Pointe work is also studied and rehearsed in the vocational grades. Visit www.rad.org.au to learn more about the Royal Academy of Dance.
Jazz
Our Jazz classes are fun and energetic, using exercises to bring out the theatrical side of dance. Students develop their own individual style as they explore high-energy and lyrical styles of jazz. We follow the Australian Teachers of Dance syllabus – to find out more, visit www.atod.net.au.
Tap
With a strong focus on ankle and footwork, Tap is a fun style of dance that uses specific shoes to create percussive movement and sounds. Our classes develop coordination, balance, rhythm, and increase your fitness and core strength.

Contemporary
Contemporary is a free-moving dance style with a strong focus on floor work. Dancers in our class use core strength, gravity, suspension and momentum to create interesting dance pieces. It’s a great style for all skill levels, and helps you become more aware of your body and how it moves through space.
Performance
These classes give students the opportunity to compete at Eisteddfods and perform at school fetes and community events. Students master a variety of styles including Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Contemporary.
Buzzy Bees and Butterfly Dance
Age: 12-24 months
This is a fun and creative class that combines music, dance, instruments, obstacle courses and free play. Children develop rhythm, coordination and movement while interacting with their peers and other adults.
Toddler Dance
Age: 2 turning 3
An introductory class for students turning 3 years of age in the year they enrol. This class has a structured warm up that remains the same during the term, and also includes a different 'adventure' to engage students’ imagination and creativity. Adventures include a Teddy Bear's Picnic day, a day at the beach, or a Nursery Rhyme day. The class also introduces students to a structured environment and increases their interaction with peers and other adults. A Parent is welcome to stay and participate with their little one.
Creative Dance
Age: 3 turning 4
This class follows on from Toddler Dance and is for students turning 4 years of age in the year they enrol. It adds some extra ballet technique and students learn dances to perform at concert time. The structured warm up is consistent during the term and is followed by a weekly dance adventure that incorporates different dance styles. Parents no longer sit in for the class, but there are special parent watching days at the end of each term to showcase what the students have learnt.
Prep Dance
Age: 4 turning 5
A ballet class for students turning 5 years of age in the year they enrol. Although students begin to learn exercises that they are encouraged to remember, they still have fun and develop their creativity through weekly themes. The Royal Academy of Dance syllabus is introduced mid-year, as some students might consider sitting for examinations in the year that follows.
